Midwest Winter Invitational Held at the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church Lake Zurich, Illinois December 1st, 2008
The Midwest Winter Invitational consisted of round robin quizzing. If any teams were tied for first, second or third place at the end of the regularly scheduled quizzes, one or two extra quizzes were held to break the ties. In spite of a forecasted winter snowstorm consisting of snow, sleet and freezing rain we had 27 teams from 13 different churches. Unlike last year, the bad weather started the afternoon of the quiz meet. The 27 team total tied last year's record number. We were able to end the day early because of the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church's hospitality. Lunch was served and this helped greatly because of the weather conditions that began shortly after lunch.
